vinoPilot

Will it run on my laptop?

If it has an Intel Core Ultra chip (2023 or newer), yes. No Copilot+ PC needed, and chips below its 40 TOPS bar work too. Older Intel laptops without an NPU run most apps on the Intel GPU or CPU; NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards aren’t used yet.

Developed and tested on Wildcat Lake; other chips should work. See example laptops (opens in a new tab).

Works on Bazzite, Silverblue and Aeon too

Every app installs with one command, into your home directory or /usr/local, so image-based systems are first-class: Fedora Atomic (Bazzite, Silverblue, Kinoite, Aurora, Bluefin) and openSUSE Aeon. Where an app needs a host package, usually just the NPU driver, its installer or doctor prints the rpm-ostree or transactional-update line, and you reboot once. Run the installers on the host, not in a toolbox.

The NPU compiler that most distros leave out comes from ovfetch, into your home directory, with no root and nothing to layer.

Got a different Intel laptop? Help test it

Run an app’s doctor command and paste the output into a GitHub issue, working or not. It’s the fastest way to get your hardware supported.
